Il “IV International Composition Prize SEM 2019” si è concluso. È stata la quarta edizione organizzata dall’Associazione Ensemble Serenissima con lo scopo di promuovere la creazione e l’ampia distribuzione di nuovo repertorio per orchestra.
La giuria internazionale, composta da DANIELE ZANETTOVICH (Presidente - Italia), GILBERTO BOSCO (Italia), DIMITRI CERVO (Brasile), FERRER FERRÁN (Spagna), DONALD SOSIN (USA), dopo un'attenta valutazione, un approfondito esame e reciproci scambi di opinioni e osservazioni sulle partiture, ha deciso di assegnare il primo premio alla composizione

Il brano sarà eseguito il 26 luglio durante il concerto sinfonico del XXIII FVG International Music Meeting, riceverà il premio di € 2.500 e sarà pubblicato dalla casa editrice Pizzicato Verlag Helvetia
È per noi motivo di grande soddisfazione aver ricevuto composizioni in una varietà di stili interessanti da autori di ogni età provenienti da varie parti del mondo.

The “IV International Composition Prize SEM 2019” has reached its conclusion. This is the fourth edition organized by the Ensemble Serenissima Association with the aim to promote the creation and wide distribution of new orchestra repertoire.
After a careful evaluation, a thorough examination and a mutual opinions exchange and observations on the scores, the Committee of the international competition "IV International Composition Prize SEM 2019", composed by DANIELE ZANETTOVICH (President - Italy), GILBERTO BOSCO (Italy), DIMITRI CERVO (Brazil), FERRER FERRÁN (Spain), DONALD SOSIN (USA), decided to award the first prize to the composition:
 
MO(UVE)MENT MUSICAUX by Andrej Goričar (Slovenia)
 
The composition will be performed on July 26th during the symphonic concert of the XXIII FVG International Music Meeting. It will receive the € 2,500 prize and it will be published by Pizzicato Verlag Helvetia.
It is a source of great satisfaction for us to receive compositions in a variety of interesting styles written by all ages composers from all over the world.
The Ensemble Serenissima association wishes to thank all those who participated.

 

ANDREJ GORIČAR - MO(UVE)MENT MUSICAUX
 
Compositore, pianista, professore e arrangiatore sloveno.
Il suo profilo artistico si estende ampiamente dalla musica classica da concerto al cinema, alla musica da palcoscenico e oltre.
Come pianista, si esibisce come solista, musicista da camera e pianista cinematografico.
Come compositore, le sue composizioni classiche, sceniche e cinematografiche sono state eseguite da rinomati solisti, gruppi da camera e orchestre.
Andrej Goričar è nato a Lubiana, in Slovenia, nel 1971.
Mentre studia pianoforte all'Accademia di musica di Lubiana a metà degli anni '90, riceve il Prešeren Student Award per la sua interpretazione del 5 ° Concerto per pianoforte di Beethoven eseguito con l'Orchestra Filarmonica Slovena diretta da Marko Letonja.
Subito dopo gli studi in pianoforte ha eseguito con grande successo la versione originale della Rhapsody in Blue di Gershwin con la Slovenian Radio Symphonic Orchestra diretta da Carl Davis.
Negli anni 1996 - 2002 è stato direttore della St. Stanislav Music School, dove ha anche insegnato pianoforte e ha fondato e diretto l'orchestra della scuola, che ha riscosso grande successo.
Dal 1996 ad oggi è pianista della Slovenian Cinematheque a Lubiana. Ha accompagnato un vasto numero di pellicole del cinema muto, sia in patria che all'estero, con proprie composizioni o improvvisando al pianoforte.
Nel 2002 è diventato un artista freelance con una particolare attenzione alla composizione.
Nel 2002 ha composto la partitura orchestrale per il film muto Sunrise (Murnau, 1927, USA, 94 min) e ha diretto la sua prima esecuzione presso la Cankarjev dom a Lubiana.
La sua colonna sonora sinfonica per il film muto V kraljestvu Zlatoroga (J. Ravnik, 1931, SLO, 76 min.), il primo lungometraggio sloveno, è stata eseguita per la prima volta in occasione del centenario del film sloveno dalla Slovenian Radio Symphony Orchestra diretta dal direttore tedesco Helmut Imig.
Nel 2010 Andrej Goričar vince il 16 ° Concorso Internazionale di composizione “2 Agosto” a Bologna, in Italia, con il suo concerto per pianoforte e orchestra Ex Anima. La giuria era presieduta da Ennio Moricone.
La sua colonna sonora per il primo lungometraggio animato europeo The Adventures of Prince Ahmed (Lotte Reiniger, 1926, Germania, 65 min.) è stata eseguita per la prima volta all'Animateka International Animated Film Festival 2010 a Lubiana.
Per la musica teatrale, ha lavorato per più di un decennio con il famoso regista teatrale Vito Taufer, componendo musica per una vasta gamma di opere teatrali.

His artistic profile spanes widely from concert classical music to film, stage music and beyond.
As a pianist, he performs as a soloist, chamber musician and as cinemateque pianist.
As a composer, his concert classical, stage and film compositions were performed by diverse renowned soloists, chamber groups and orchestras.
Andrej Goričar was born in Ljubljana, Slovenia, in 1971.
While studying piano at the Ljubljana Academy of Music in middle 90's, he received Prešeren Student Award for his interpretation of Beethoven's 5th Piano Concerto with Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Marko Letonja.
Just after his piano studies he performed with great success the original version of Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue with Slovenian Radio Symphonic Orchestra conducted by Carl Davis.
In years 1996 – 2002, he was the principal of St. Stanislav Music School, where he also taught piano and established and conducted school's highly successful orchestra.
Since 1996 and still today he's been the resident pianist of the Slovenian Cinematheque in Ljubljana. He has performed a wide repertoire of silent classics and many silent film retrospectives home and abroad either playing his own compositions or improvising at the piano.
In 2002 he became a freelance artist with a particular focus on composing.
In 2002 he composed orchestral score for the silent movie Sunrise (Murnau, 1927, USA, 94 min) and conducted it's first performance in Cankarjev dom, Ljubljana.
Andrej's symphonic orchestra score for the silent movie V kraljestvu Zlatoroga (J. Ravnik, 1931, SLO, 76 min.), which is the first Slovenian full-lenght movie, was first performed during celebration of 100 years of Slovenian film by Slovenian Radio Symphony Orchestra and German conductor Helmut Imig.
In 2010 Andrej Goričar won the 16th International Composing Competition »2 Agosto« in Bologna, Italy, with his concerto for piano and orchestra Ex Anima. The jury was headed by Ennio Moricone.
Andrej’s score for the first European full length silent animated movie The Adventures of Prince Ahmed (Lotte Reiniger, 1926, Germany, 65 min.) was first performed at the Animateka International Animated Film Festival 2010 in Ljubljana.
As far as theatre music is concerned, he has been working with a renowned theatre director Vito Taufer for more then a decade, composing music for a wide range of theatrical plays.
Since 2012 he is also a piano professor at Franc Šturm Music School in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
